You can use this website without providing any personal data. We process technically necessary connection data, analytics data only with your consent, and the information you send us in an application or by email. Fonts and icons are served from our own server; no third-party content such as videos, maps or social media plugins is embedded.

This website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open the website — including through the redirecting domain binariesgroup.de — Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the requested address, referrer and browser identifier in order to deliver the pages and protect them against attacks.

• Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely and reliably.
• Transfers outside the EU: Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The EU Standard Contractual Clauses in our data processing agreement with Cloudflare apply in addition.
• Retention: Log data is kept only as long as delivery and security require, and is then deleted or anonymised.

The provider is PostHog, Inc., 2261 Market St., #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. Data is sent through the EU endpoint eu.i.posthog.com to PostHog’s EU cloud in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and stored there.

• Data processed: pages viewed, time on page, referrer, device type, browser and operating system, an approximate location derived from your IP address (the IP address itself is not stored), and a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage. Session recording is disabled; form input is not captured.
• Legal basis: Your consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
• Transfers outside the EU: Where PostHog, Inc. accesses data from the USA, it does so on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in our data processing agreement with PostHog.
• Retention: Analytics data is deleted after twelve months at the latest. The cookie holding the random identifier expires after one year.
• Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by opening “Cookie settings” in the footer and switching analytics off.

When you submit an application through the form on the Founders page, we process your name, email address, the information about your company, the link to your pitch deck, and any optional details about your round and referral. We use this data solely to assess a possible investment and to contact you about it. We store only the link to your pitch deck, not the file.

The form is processed by a function at Amazon Web Services. The provider is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg. Processing takes place in the Frankfurt am Main region (eu-central-1); the same function delivers your application to our mailbox through Amazon Simple Email Service and sends you a confirmation of receipt. Your IP address is used only briefly to protect the form against abuse and is not stored.

• Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, taken at your request), and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for protecting the form against abuse.
• Recipients: Amazon Web Services as processor under a data processing agreement; within Binaries Group, only the persons involved in the assessment.
• Retention: If no investment follows, we delete your application twelve months after our last contact. If an investment follows, we keep the records in line with statutory retention obligations.
• Please note: Please do not submit confidential information, or personal data of other people without their permission.

When you email us, we process your address and the content of your message in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. Messages are stored in our mailbox at Google Workspace. The provider is Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland, acting as our processor under a data processing agreement. Access by Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out; it takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified, and additionally the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We delete messages once they are no longer needed and no statutory retention obligation applies.

This website and the application form transmit data exclusively in encrypted form over HTTPS (TLS).
