About Binaries Group

Binaries Group UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is a holding and investment company with its registered office in Kranenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It owns and develops software companies over the long term and invests its own capital in early-stage technology companies in Germany and across Europe. Its holdings include PlaPlu UG; the transfer of Binaries Lab UG into the group is in progress.

Approach

Binaries Group is built for long-term ownership. Companies are held for as long as they can grow on their own merits.

Permanent capital

Binaries Group invests from its own balance sheet. There is no fund life, no obligation to return capital on a fixed timetable and no pressure to sell. Holdings are measured by durable revenue and sound unit economics, not by the valuation of the next round.

Engineering at the core

Every company in the group is built to the same technical standards: a documented architecture, maintainable code and security by design. Architecture review and engineering leadership are part of what the group contributes, from the first release onward.

Data protection by default

Group companies process personal data within the European Union wherever technically possible and collect only what a product genuinely needs. Compliance with the GDPR is treated as a design requirement from the outset, not as a later correction.

Two roles

As owner

Binaries Group holds its group companies for the long term. It provides capital, sets the standards for engineering and data protection, and supports decisions on product, release and market entry. Each company keeps its own management, accounts and liability.

As investor

Binaries Group takes minority positions in founder-led companies at pre-seed and seed. It invests its own capital, may lead a round or invest alongside others, and contributes experience in software architecture, product development and regulatory compliance where founders want it.

Marcelo M. Sarquis

Managing Director, Binaries Group UG (haftungsbeschränkt)

Marcelo M. Sarquis leads Binaries Group as Managing Director. He founded Binaries Lab in 2020 and has directed core engineering teams for major European streaming providers and designed security-critical health-technology platforms. He is an iSAQB-certified software architect and completed executive education in Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the Gies College of Business.
